Covid-19 - Response Programs
The Neighbourhood Food Hub is currently operating the following programs to support our community at this time:
Emergency Food Program
Ending September 30th, 2021
The Emergency Food Program is currently providing over 100 households with fresh food and staple items on a weekly basis. The program includes:
Delivering fresh fruits and vegetables to the Glen Rhodes Food Bank and other local community groups and organizations
Delivering food bank baskets of staple items and fresh produce to seniors and vulnerable families in need in the area on a weekly basis
Delivering Emergency Food Boxes full of fresh fruit and veg every Thursday in partnership with FoodShare Toronto
Connecting community members to neighbours in need through our Community Care Package program
Good Food Market
Ending October 14th, 2021
The Good Food Market operates at the Glen Rhodes Building (1470 Gerrard Street East) Every Thursday from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. The Good Food market is in partnership with FoodShare Toronto to provide fresh produce at low cost for the local community.
Glen Rhodes Food Bank
The Glen Rhodes Food Bank is still running on Wednesdays thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers with Covid-19 protocols in place. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for all details and how to use the Food Bank.
The Neighbourhood Food Hub is temporarily suspending all other non-essential in-person programs in light of recent developments around Covid-19. We are actively monitoring the situation and working to mobilize all efforts to ensure the neighbourhood of Coxwell and Gerrard has access to fresh, affordable food.
